Adventure Activities

Be prepared…

Weather can be very fickle – especially in the Lake District – so remember to take appropriate clothing with you on holiday, and when going out for walks or activities.

A reusable water bottle and a couple of snacks for breaks in-between meals are advised in case the walk back for lunch takes a bit longer than planned…or just take a nice picnic and make a day of it!

This FREE quiz and scavenger hunt is designed for the Lake Cruises journey between Ambleside and Bowness-on-Windermere.

Keep an eye out for Bownessie as this adventure sheet explores the history of the Lake, and the wildlife that it supports.

To claim your virtual badge, follow the instructions at the bottom of the second page.

There is a lot more to Bowness-on-Windermere in the Lake District National Park than meets the eye.

This downloadable trail explores the town of Bowness like never before, taking you around the lesser-known but no less amazing sites of the town.

Wander through the quirky side streets and discover the rich history of the town, and walk the beauty of the surrounding woodlands.

Take on the challenge at the end of the trail to collect your virtual badge!
